Launch of PFAS-free Non-Stick Coatings Technology

Fraunhofer IFAM and Plasmatreat have initiated a technology transfer aimed at developing PFAS-free non-stick coatings. This collaboration focuses on creating environmentally friendly alternatives to traditional non-stick surfaces that often contain per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), known for their harmful effects on health and the environment.

The new coatings are designed to provide the same level of non-stick performance without the negative impacts associated with PFAS.
